We’ll Handle the Exam Fee

Students who complete the AHIT Success Path sit for the NHIE knowing their exam fee is covered, no matter the outcome. Here's what it takes. 

  1. Complete your education with AHIT.
    • In states where pre-licensing is required, you must complete all your coursework and field training (where applicable) with AHIT.  
    • In states that require multiple courses or modules, these courses must be completed in AHIT’s defined order.  
    • In states that don’t require education, you must complete AHIT’s Professional Home Inspector Online Course. 
  2. Complete the AHIT Exam Prep Edge Program. 
    • Attend all 20 sessions live online or on-demand. 
    • Complete the initial assessment. 
    • Master 3 Domain Exams (score 80% or higher two times on each exam). 
    • Pass 2 Mock Exams within the Exam Prep Edge program (score 80% or higher). 

Pass on Your First Attempt

Receive full reimbursement of your NHIE exam fee as a reward for completing the AHIT Success Path. 

If You Don't Pass

AHIT still reimburses your first exam attempt fee in full.

To claim: submit a copy of your paid exam receipt (showing scheduled exam date) and your official exam results showing the date. Reimbursement is limited to your first exam attempt only. Reimbursement limited to actual exam fee paid, up to $225. Texas students must take the National and State exams separately to qualify. Oklahoma, Illinois, and South Dakota exam fees are below $225 — reimbursement will not exceed the fee paid. Submit Your $225 Pass Payback Claim
