Nevada Home Inspector License Requirements

Requirements to Become a Nevada Home Inspector

  • Nevada home inspection education hours: 40 hours
  • Exam Required: NHIE
  • Inspections: Observe at least 25 home inspections performed by a professional master inspector or approved instructor
  • Application Fee: $350 (other fees may apply)
  • Insurance Requirements: E&O insurance of at least $100,000 and liability insurance of at least $100,000
  • Notarized application, background check, and fingerprinting are required
  • Minimum age requirement: 18
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Home Inspection License Expiration: Every two years

Nevada Home Inspector Continuing Education Requirements

  • 20 hours every two years
