What Is Army COOL?

Army Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) is a program for Army service members to earn industry-recognized professional certifications or licenses that will enhance their active duty work and prepare them for civilian life.  

The program provides financial assistance for courses, supplies and resources, testing fees, and more to ensure that you’re set up with everything you need to earn your license or certification.

The Army COOL program offers up to $4,000 in assistance for eligible active duty soldiers. 

Who Is Eligible for Army COOL?

Army COOL is available to Regular Army, Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) pursuant to Title 10 and Title 32, U.S. Army Reserve (USAR), and Army National Guard (ARNG) enlisted soldiers, warrant officers, and officers. 

How Do I Enroll in the Army COOL Program?

Follow these steps for FREE home inspector training:
  1. Call 855-490-3510 or submit the Free Catalog form with “Interested in Army COOL” selected
  2. An AHIT enrollment advisor will contact you and provide a PDF invoice for training
  3. Complete your Credential Assistance request
    • Visit Army IgnitED to register
    • Credential path: Certified Inspector (CI)
    • Vendor: American Home Inspectors Training
  4. Your AHIT enrollment advisor will notify you when your CA request is approved.
  5. Complete your home inspection training and exam
