Requirements to Become a Montana Home Inspector
- Effective January 1, 2026, home inspectors in Montana must be licensed.
- Montana home inspection education hours: 40
- Application Fee: $80 (other fees may apply)
- Insurance Requirements: Minimum of $125,000 liability insurance coverage in errors and omissions insurance
- Other:
- Must be a member of a national home inspector association
- Home Inspection License Expiration: Every two years from date of issuance
Montana Home Inspector Continuing Education Requirements
- No continuing education is required to renew your license, however continuing education may be a requirement to maintain membership in a national home inspector association
